i live to create.

I simply like to make new things. Whether it’s graphic design, origami, painting, photography, or data visualization, I find serenity in the process of creating.

I grew up in my mom’s tiny ceramics studio; my bedroom was literally two meters away from the workshop. There was always something happening, something new in the pottery oven, and tons of creative opportunities. When I wasn’t busy with school, I was eagerly mixing glazing, loading the kiln, testing color palettes, and helping mom’s students.

Being an “assistant teacher” at the studio was my unpaid side-gig throughout school and university. Let’s say I attended a two decade course on adult teaching and creative design right at home.

A lot stuck with me from those years, and I love being able to use those skills when I create eLearning. Today I use all this creative energy to build beautiful learning experiences for organizations like yours.

i innovate where tech meets learning science.

I guess it’s not a coincidence that after interacting with hundreds of learners at the ceramics studio, I went on to pursue a career in education.

After earning a bachelors in Management Engineering, I spent a decade working with interactive learning environments to help people make better decisions in challenging situations.

For my Masters and PhD, I developed original research by using screen tracking and SCORM data to observe micro episodes of learning as students worked within interactive environments. I coded and analyzed over 160 hours of video and interview recordings. The goal was to pinpoint which aspects of the instruction led to “Aha! Moments,” and which were not useful at all. Suffice it to say, I have a deep understanding of the learning process and how to optimize a learning environment.

Today, I use these analytical skills, knowledge of learning theories, and an array of software in various ways: to elicit information from your target audience and subject matter experts; to match training activities to your organizations’ performance goals; and to develop well-tuned assessments that give you accurate information on performance change.

I am where theory meets practice meets the latest technology.

i thrive among a diversity of learners, cultures, and professional fields.

I left home to venture into the world when I was twenty-one. I have since lived and worked in 5 countries across 3 continents, created learning experiences for over 1000 learners on 10 subjects, and managed a team of 24 experts from 8 nationalities and 6 professional fields.

Today, I use all these experiences to understand your target audience and organizational culture, create learning experiences that are culturally relevant and sensitive, and navigate your industry and performance goals. I am also fluent in English and Spanish, so I can create learning experiences in either language.
